Settlers: Military police probing Binyamin Brigade official

Settlers on Thursday said that the military police had opened an investigation against the Deputy Commander of the Binyamin Brigade Lt. Col. Shahar Sheettrit for his actions during the demolition last week of a small outpost known as Alei Ayin.

According to the Binyamin Citizens' Committee, Sheetrit told one of his soldiers to throw a stone at a camera man who was filming the demolition.

In a video posted on youtube, Sheetrit can be seen stating, "Brother, throw a stone at him," although it is hard to tell from the video who he is talking about.

The committee, which filed a complaint with the military police, charged that Sheetrit had given an illegal command, exceeded the order to attack and had caused physical harm to civilians.
