Shekel-dollar rate hits 18-month low

The shekel has strengthened against the dollar and euro in inter-bank trading on Thursdai, after the local markets were closed for Passover.

The shekel-dollar exchange rate has fallen 0.92%, compared with Friday's representative rate, to NIS 3.632, and the shekel-euro exchange rate has fallen 1.93% to NIS 4.651/€. The shekel-dollar rate is at its loweest point since September 2011, and the shekel-euro rate is at its lowest point since May 2010.
