Steinitz: Budget is good for the weak, education, periphery

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz on Wednesday said that the state budget for 2011 and 2012 is good for the weak, the educational sector and periphery cities.
"Today we are presenting a budget which is good for the state of Israel, a budget for economic growth, education, the periphery, which will close gaps, aid the weak and will integrate haredim and Arabs into the work force," Steinitz said prior to the meeting on the state budget and religious conversions.
The Knesset is expected to approve the budget in its second and third readings, with an amount of NIS 247 billion for 2011 and NIS 259 billion for 2012. The Knesset is also expected to approve religious conversions for the next two years.
