Steinitz: Deficit got bigger because of social protest

The deficit got bigger because of the results of the social justice protest from the summer of 2011, former finance minister Yuval Steinitz told Army Radio on Sunday.
According to Steinitz, the reforms that followed the protest cost the government a lot of money that deepened the deficit.
"When you are giving more services, you have to fund them somehow," he said.
