The suspect in the stabbing of a Beitar Jerusalem fan in Beersheba Saturday turned himself in to police authorities, Israel Radio reported Sunday. The man was held for investigation, and will be transferred to prison. The six other suspects who were arrested - four of which were Jerusalem residents and two from Beersheba, were released from their arrests on conditions that they would not again enter a soccer stadium for a game.
A senior police force member from Beersheba said that another officer was injured Saturday when he came to break up the scuffle that broke out between the fans of Beitar Jerusalem and Beersheba. The officer's nose and eye socket were fractured.
