Syria to keep working with IAEA despite referral

VIENNA - Syria said on Thursday it will continue to work with the UN nuclear watchdog despite a decision by its 35-nation board to report Damascus to the UN Security Council over covert atomic work.
"It is regrettable," Syrian ambassador Bassam Al-Sabbagh told reporters after the decision at an International Atomic Energy Agency meeting in Vienna.
Asked whether it would affect cooperation with the UN body, he said: "I think Syria has always been committed to its obligations and to its duties and I think we will continue to do so."
