Tel Aviv man, 20, found dead after apparent drug overdose

A twenty year old Tel Aviv man was found dead in the city following a drug overdose Monday morning. Paramedics were summoned to South Tel Aviv in an attempt to revive the man, but he was ruled dead at the scene.

A spokesman for the Tel Aviv police said Monday that the man's body is still undergoing forensic examinations, but at the moment, police are relatively certain it was an accidental overdose and the man was not murdered.

The spokesman added that police did not know if the man had a criminal record or if the drug he injected was heroin, though in the overwhelming majority of such cases heroin is the drug in question.
