The state endorses efficient light bulbs

The National Infrastructures Ministry will launch a tender on Thursday for a contractor to give out free CFL efficient light bulbs.
While the specifics of the tender have not been worked out completely, the idea would be for people to buy the light bulbs at a special price and then get a free one – courtesy of the ministry.
The project is budgeted at NIS 2.25 million for 100-200,000 bulbs.
The rationale behind the campaign is to raise awareness to the benefits of energy efficiency.
