Washington is planning to sell Patriot missiles to Kuwait, in order to bolster its defenses against the Iranian threat, on Wednesday."Kuwait needs these missiles to meet current and future threats of enemy air-to-ground weapons," the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement on its website. "Kuwait will use the increased capability as a deterrent to regional threats and to strengthen its homeland defense."The deal has an estimated cost of $900 million. "The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region," the statement said.
