US source says S&P debt analysis deeply flawed

WASHINGTON - The analysis that Standard &Poor's prepared as part of its planning for a downgrade ofUS debt is seriously flawed, a source familiar with thereport said on Friday night.

"There are deep and fundamental flaws with the S&Panalysis," the source said, without detailing the nature orsize of the flaws.
