US spokesperson: No date set for peace talks, still discussing Washington visits

"The Secretary [of State John Kerry] and other senior officials remain in close touch with officials on both sides, and they’re working towards formalizing the discussion," a United States spokesperson said on Wednesday night.
In a briefing with the press, Jen Psaki stated that in spite of numerous accurate and inaccurate reports, "nothing has changed" since last Friday when Kerry announced the revival of peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine.
"The Secretary is eager to put together a senior team of officials, but those decisions are still being made," Psaki said, in an apparent reference to recent reports that the Palestinians had not yet agreed to return to talks unless Israel releases Palestinian detainees.
Tzipi Livni and senior Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat will travel to Washington DC next week to commence talks, Kerry said in his announcement from Amman, Jordan.
