US tells Russia of concern about election monitor

WASHINGTON - The White House on Friday raised concerns about a Moscow court ruling against an independent election monitoring agency in Russia and cited what it said was an apparent "pattern of harassment."
"The Obama administration is concerned with today's decision by a Moscow court regarding the election monitoring (non-governmental organization) Golos, as well as what appears to be a pattern of harassment directed against this organization," a White House spokesman said in a statement.
