USGS: Strong aftershock rocks southeast Turkey

A magnitude 5.1 aftershock rocked southeast Turkey late on Sunday, hours after a major quake hit the town of Ercis, 100 km north of the city of Van, bringing down many buildings and killing or injuring hundreds of people.
The epicenter of the aftershock was 20 kilometers west northwest of Van at a depth of 9.6 km, the USGS reported.
