Vanunu asks Supreme Court to cancel his citizenship

Mordechai Vanunu, the man who served nearly 20 years for leaking nuclear secrets to foreign news outlets has turned to the Supreme Court with a petition to cancel his Israeli citizenship, Army Radio reported on Thursday.
Vanunu told court he is no longer interested in being a citizen of Israel, citing hostility towards him in the general public and in the media. "As a result, the petitioner can no longer find a place for himself or a future in Israeli society," according to the report.
