The White House on Monday released several images of US President Barack Obama and other officials in the Situation Room watching the military raid that resulted in Osama bin Laden's death.
In the photos, Obama and other top-ranking security officials, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, are seen watching and listening in real time to the raid that killed the al Qaida leader.
After the officials convened in the White House Situation Room, members of the group held their breath and remained silent as they waited to see whether the extremely risky operation would succeed, AP reported quoting White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan.
"It was probably one of the most anxiety-filled periods of time, I think, in the lives of the people who were assembled here yesterday," Brennan was quoted by AP as saying. "The minutes passed like days, and the president was very concerned about the security of our personnel."
