WikiLeaks: Netanyahu links Iranian threat, peace talks

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told US Senator Jon Kyl in April 2009 that if Iran goes nuclear, peace talks with the Palestinians will fail, according to US State Department cable released by WikiLeaks on Monday.
The senator noted that during the meeting, Netanyahu had asked three times "What are you going to do?" about the Iranian nuclear threat.
On peace talks with the Palestinians, the prime minister "said the only difference between his position and that of opposition leader Tzipi Livni is over the name of the goal, i.e. the two-state solution," according to the cable. Netanyahu also predicted that his government would "pleasantly surprise many critics" by coming up with a common approach with US President Barack Obama.
