Yachimovich: Instead of repenting and apologizing, Shaked attacks

Opposition leader MK Shelly Yachimovich slammed Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked's speech concerning the sex-for-judgeship scandal at the Bar Association conference on Thursday.

"It is regrettable, but instead of repenting, soul-searching, and apologizing for her part in the glorification of Efi Nave and placing unrestrained power in his hands, Minister Shaked does what she does—she attacks," said Yachimovich.

"The minister's expectation that female MKs will not attack her just because she is a woman attests to a distorted perception of the role of women in the ideological and political world," Yachimovich added.
