Yishai: Elections could be moved ahead to early 2013

Shas party leader Eli Yishai said Tuesday that he believes elections will be moved to the start of 2013, Army Radio reported.
Speaking after a meeting with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Yishai said: "The Treasury is very concerned about populist legislation and will recommend elections. I believe that as a result of this recommendation, the elections will be moved to January-February."
Yishai added that he preferred elections to be held on their scheduled date, currently set for October 2013.
Netanyahu has recently admitted that elections may be moved up if the government failed to reach an agreement on the 2013 state budget by the end of the year.
