Yishai: Netanyahu, FM campaigning at expense of haredim

Interior Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) said Sunday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman were trying to court voters at the expense of the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) public.
Yishai's comments came on the background of Liberman and Netanyahu suggesting that early elections could be called in order to pass an alternative to the "Tal Law" that would require most haredim to enlist in the IDF or perform national service.
"If the prime minister and the foreign minister want elections, we are ready for elections at any moment. The election campaign has begun on the backs of the haredi public because they think that will bring them mandates," Yishai stated.
