The modern SS that threatens Israel

While the economy is certainly important, Israel is not a mere side note or footnote.

Israel is once again being threatened by the SS; no, not the German SS as during WWII; although this threat is just as sinister. The modern SS threatening Israel today is safety and security.
Haaretz newspaper recently cited a poll indicating that US support for Israel had fallen from 63% in 2009 to 51% in July 2012. According to the poll conducted by the Israel Project, the decline of support for Israel is primarily to be found among Liberals who identify with the ideals and give away, entitlement philosophy of the Democrat Party and those who elected Barack Hussein Obama as president.
As Israel goes, so goes America and much of the rest of civilization for that matter. Through the Jews the world received the Torah and the Ten Commandments.  These are the instruments from which civilized nations have derived their governing principals.  Supporting Israel and her right to exist and to protect her borders and her population is not a matter of religion.  It is a matter of standing on the principals established by America’s founding fathers.
In the words of John Adams, “I will insist that the Hebrews have done more to civilize men than any other nation. If I were an atheist, and believed in blind eternal fate, I should still believe that fate had ordained the Jews to be the most essential instrument for civilizing the nations....to preserve and propagate to all mankind the doctrine of a supreme, intelligent, wise, almighty sovereign of the universe, which I believe to be the great essential principle of all morality, and consequently of all civilization.”
Unless we want Mr. Obama to “change” America forever into something other than a beacon of light and hope to the world, we must carefully consider the views and principals of our founding fathers. As Decision Day 2012 rapidly approaches, America must go to the polls with a very important question in the forefront of our minds, “What is this candidate’s position on the safety and security of Israel?”
While the economy is certainly important, Israel is not a mere side note or footnote.  We have all greatly benefited from the genius of Israeli inventions and technologies which they have developed and shared with the world making our lives healthier, easier and more productive.
Safety and security are basic human needs.  We must stand with and support Israel’s right to defensible borders and to her right to provide safety and security to her citizens which ultimately translates into safety and security for the world.
