IDF injures two Palestinians near Gaza security fence

Army says it warned the two men to halt but opened fire at their legs when they failed to do so.

IDF soldiers shot and injured two Palestinians who approached the security fence on the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip on Friday, the army confirmed.
According to the IDF some 150 Palestinians demonstrated near the fence in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday. Two of the demonstrators proceeded towards a closed security zone near the fence. The IDF called for the two men to stop and shot a warning shot in the air. When the men failed to stop the soldiers shot at their lower extremities. 
The IDF confirmed Friday that they hit the two men in their lower extremities. 
Palestinian news agency Ma'an identified one individual who was taken to hospital in Gaza with with moderate injuries.
Last week the IDF fired at two Palestinians who were trying to scale the fence.
