Data on Antisemitic Incidents:

The latest Global Antisemitism Report highlights 137 new incidents of antisemitism monitored worldwide by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM during the past week.

Categorized by ideological motivation, 44.5% were Far-Left (61 incidents), 40.1% Islamist-Inspired (55 incidents), 6.6% Far-Right (9 incidents), and 8.8% Unattributable (12 incidents).

Broken down by type, 42.3% were Anti-Israel/Anti-Zionism (58 incidents), 36.5% Islamist-Inspired (50 incidents), 9.5% Classical Antisemitism (13 Incidents), 7.3% Holocaust Minimization/Denial (10 incidents), and 4.4% Unattributable (6 incidents).

Summary of Events Over Last Week:

According to data released by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) this week, Jewish New Yorkers were targeted in 31 antisemitic hate crimes last month - a 182 percent year-over-year increase.

Additionally, antisemitic incidents accounted for around 54 percent of all reported bias crimes in the city in January, the largest category for the month.

Across the globe, incidents documented by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM this week included:

  • France: Vandals smashed windows and ripped a plaque off a Jewish elementary school in eastern Paris.
  • Poland: A man verbally abused a group of Orthodox Jewish Israelis at the Krakow airport.
  • United States: At an anti-Israel demonstration in Philadelphia, protesters glorified Hamas, chanted for "Intifada," and carried effigies of IDF soldiers hanging in nooses.

Kentucky AG Stands With Jewish Students

In a legal brief filed on Tuesday, Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman wrote the University of Kentucky had the right to suspend and investigate a professor for hateful comments he made about Israel last year.

"There’s no place for antisemitism in the Commonwealth, especially on Kentucky's college campuses," Coleman said.
