The CEO of the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) voiced strong support for the joint US and Israeli military strikes against Iran which began out on Saturday, saying the operation marked a decisive step toward confronting what he described as the Iranian regime’s decades-long campaign of terror and destabilization.
In an official statement issued following the coordinated action, CAM CEO Sacha Roytman Dratwa framed the strikes as part of a broader effort to counter Tehran’s regional aggression, nuclear ambitions, and global antisemitic incitement.
“Today, the United States and Israel are taking decisive action to make the world a safer place,” Roytman Dratwa said. “For decades, the Tehran regime’s leading export has been terror, with the ayatollah and his henchmen orchestrating a vast network of proxies to spread violence and destruction on every continent, threatening anyone who believes in human liberty, dignity, and the right to live without fear.”
Roytman Dratwa described Iran as a central pillar of what he termed an “anti-West axis,” accusing the regime of investing heavily in its pursuit of nuclear weapons while simultaneously promoting antisemitic hatred worldwide and openly calling for Israel’s destruction.
He also pointed to the regime’s domestic record, saying that Iranian authorities have “brutally repressed the people of Iran,” including what he characterized as the killing of tens of thousands of street demonstrators in recent months.
“The era of impunity is now over,” Roytman Dratwa added. “While we may not know for certain what the days ahead will bring, we hope a new era, of freedom in Iran and stability and peace across the Middle East, is just around the corner.”
He concluded by expressing appreciation to US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “for doing what must be done to make this a reality.”
The strikes also eliminated Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a development that could prove historic for the Islamic Republic. Iranian state media confirmed his death after the joint US-Israeli operation targeted key leadership sites in Tehran, ending more than three decades of Khamenei’s autocratic rule.
