What are you most proud of: The Australian Government's apology to the Stolen Generation, and honoring of Israel's 60th Anniversary. Kol HaKavod!
Religious affiliation / observance: A heaped tablespoon of Ashkenazi Modern Orthodox, secular humanism to taste, served with a smattering of Mizrachi dance moves and a drizzle of Sephardi cuisine

My history (100 words max): 13 years of Jewish day school indoctrination led me to explore Israel in 2004 for 6 months. Upon returning home I realized I wanted to go back, and so I spent three years on campus as a political activist, co-director of 2006 Revue 'Diaspora Housewives', and general social butterfly for the Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS). Came back to Israel in 2008 for Taglit-Birthright Israel as a Madricha, for three weeks, started an internship at the Jerusalem Post in February and haven't looked back
Family history (100 words max): As Ashkenazi as they come, my entire South African family emigrated within years of each other to Sydney. My grandparents from Lithuania, Poland, England and the Orange Free State, our interactions revolve around food, sport and attempted shiduchim for all the female cousins (around 20 at last count). For culture, Monty Python, The Simpsons and Sascha Baron-Cohen suffice, and no political conversation (read: smack down) is complete without at lease one family member walking out mid-debate in (mock) protest. It takes a strong character and great sense of humor to survive in this clan
Greatest invention: In a nod to my 80s childhood; Bonds Hypercolour T-shirts - When you touch them, they change colour!
If you could have dinner with any person in the world it would be: My friend Dave Burnett (03.12.1985 - 23.01.2008). We would eat shawarma, listen to Hilltop Hoods and discuss AFL, Australian Politics and Zionism. He would win every argument, make me laugh til I couldn't breathe and leave me wanting more. I miss you mate
If you could go anywhere on vacation, it would be: Byron Bay, Australia - Bay Kebabs, Clarks Beach, and The Beach Hotel - a slice of heaven on the East coast
Feminine/masculine trait I'd like to have: ability to fine tune a car, and execute the perfect manicure
What angers you: Ignorance, complacency, intolerance, and the sore lack of Salt N Vinegar Chips in Israel. Its bigoted, anti-flavor sentiment doesn't reflect the open democratic way of life of this country
What makes you happy: Good friends, good food, good wine and great conversation
Last book I read was: The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, The Dignity of Difference by Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks.
Comfort food: Cookies and Cream ice-cream, and Tim Tams.

You may not like it but I have something controversial to say: Israel is facing an existential threat, one that can only be countered with mass production of Salt N Vinegar Chips. There, I said it.
