3 more Haitian kids arrive at Wolfson for heart surgery

The children suffering from congenital heart defects, will have surgery performed by volunteers from the Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) organization.

Three more children suffering from congenital heart defects arrived on Wednesday from Haiti to Holon’s Wolfson Medical Center for surgery to be performed by volunteers from the Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) organization. The lucky youngsters are three-year- old Darensky Jean Francois; two-year-old Jacquelin Senatus; and 13-year-old Stephanie Anne-Elisabeth Bercy, who arrived with their mothers.
Their arrival followed by over half a year the successful treatment by SACH of six-year-old Woodley Elsyee from Haiti, who benefited from the international and Israeli media attention on the heroic efforts of Israeli volunteers to rescue and aid victims of his country’s tragic earthquake.
When an Israeli rescue team brought Woodley to Israel in desperate need of help, he was greeted at the airport by hundreds of well-wishers, as well as SACH doctors and nurses. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak joined the SACH welcome team. In April, Woodley returned to Haiti, healthy and thriving, and he has since returned to school. Thanks to the media exposure, SACH received the financial support necessary to provide more Haitian children with life-saving heart surgery.
