OrSense Ltd., a company that specializes in non-invasive monitoring devices that can measure glucose, hemoglobin and oxygen levels in blood, announced Wednesday that it has received the European CE Mark approval for a non-invasive glucose monitoring system for diabetes patients.
The new device is said to provide a more comfortable alternative to finger pricks for glucose monitoring.
The device uses a ring with highly sensitive optical sensors to measure the light transmitted through the patient's finger. The ring only applies gentle pressure to the finger, and the entire procedure is painless. OrSense is headquartered in Ness Ziona.
