By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
Two British soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack Wednesday in southern Afghanistan, Britain's Ministry of Defense said.
"The men were taking part in a routine patrol in Helmand Province when their vehicle was hit by an explosion," the ministry said in a statement. A third soldier and a civilian interpreter were also injured.
The names of the soldiers and interpreter have not been released.
British troops have been engaged in fierce, and increasingly bloody, fighting against the resurgent Taliban in Helmand for the past few months.
