5 killed in roadside bomb in northern Sri Lanka

Suspected Tamil Tiger rebels blew up a bus with a roadside bomb Saturday, killing five people and wounding 28 more, the army said. The blast occurred near Vavuniya the last government-held garrison town before rebel territory in the north, said Lt. Col. Upali Rajapakse, a senior officer at the ministry's information center. All the passengers were civilians, he said.
