About 2,000 rally in support of Israel in Colorado

About 2,000 people rallied at the state Capitol to show their support for Israel in its fight with Hizbullah and to speak out against pressure to broker peace while the militia poses a threat to the country. Ehud Danoch, Israel's consul general for the western US, on Sunday told the crowd, which included both Jews and Christians waving American and Israeli flags, that Israel has no other choice but to defeat terrorists. He said the turnout gave encouragement to Israelis living in bomb shelters and members of the Israeli military, of which he is a reserve member. "We will not live like this anymore. Israel will not live like this anymore. If the international community will not disarm Hizbullah, Israel will disarm Hizbullah," Danoch said to a burst of applause. Danoch, who has spoken at similar rallies in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, said he was not surprised by the support. "The Jewish community in the United States and in other parts of the world, but especially here, they understand that it's a different time," he said after his remarks.
