Afghan army jeep explodes near governor's offices

An Afghan army jeep exploded Wednesdsay inside the compound housing the eastern Nangarhar provincial governor's offices, a police official said. There were no casualties and it was unclear what caused the jeep to explode in the city of Jalalabad, about 120 kilometers east of the capital, Kabul, police spokesman Ghulam Jan said. Fire engines and ambulances sped to the scene, Jan said.
