Alleged former Nazi guard Demjanjuk to arrive in Germany Monday for trial

An alleged former Nazi guard is expected to be deported in the coming days from the United States to Germany, the Germany Justice Ministry said Thursday. John Demjanjuk, a Ukrainian immigrant who turns 89 on Friday, is accused in a German arrest warrant of 29,000 counts of acting as an accessory to murder while working as a guard at a Nazi death camp during World War II. He now lives in Cleveland, Ohio. Justice Ministry spokesman Ulrich Staudigl said that Demjanjuk is expected to arrive in Munich on Monday.
