Russia's FSB detained three men who were planning attacks on synagogues across Russia in a counter-terrorism operation, state media reported on Sunday.
RIA Novosti reported that two Central Asian nationals were preparing to bomb a synagogue in Krasnoyarsk, while a Russian citizen intended to set fire to a synagogue in Pyatigorsk.
In a video released by RT, agents can be seen swarming an abandoned building where the two Central Asain nationals kept bomb making materials.
"I gave money to my countryman... to blow up the synagogue," one of the suspects said in the video.

"I wanted to blow up the synagogue to kill people," said the second.
FSB forces found various knives and multiple Molotov cocktails on the third suspect at the time of his arrest.
The Russian national admitted to planning a "terrorist attack" at a synagogue in Pyatigorsk.
