At least 6 reported dead in Pakistan bomb attack

A bomb hit a Pakistan air force vehicle in a northwestern city on Tuesday, killing at least nine people, police said. The explosion hit the vehicle on the outskirts of Peshawar, an official in the police control room said. He said it was not yet clear if the casualties were civilians or military personnel. A second police official said nine people were killed and seven or eight were wounded in the attack on an air force truck traveling into Peshawar, the main city in northwestern Pakistan. Air force spokesman Air Cmdr. Humayun Waqar Zephyr confirmed the attack but said he had no details.
