BBC reporter sanctioned for remarks on Arafat

The BBC has sanctioned the reporter who attested in a radio report that she cried when she saw Yasser Arafat helicoptered out of his Ramallah compound in October 2004. Barbara Plett had initially been cleared by the Complaints Committee, which said that she had "breached the requirements of due impartiality." Arafat died in Paris at age 75.
