The peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has failed to prevent the smuggling of weapons to Hizbullah, said Former US ambassador to the UN, John Bolton on Tuesday, Israel Radio reported.
Bolton criticized United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon for his comments Monday that the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians will lead to the development of other conflicts in the area.
The UN should never have been included in the Quartet, Bolton added.
