Brothers suspected of trying to extort their father

Two brothers, aged 21 and 27, were brought to the Rishon Letzion Magistrate's Court on Tuesday after they allegedly broke into their father's home, stole cheques and demanded he pay them NIS 50,000 in cash in return for the stolen goods.
The father filed a complaint with police and last night set up a meeting with his sons, which was watched by police officers. Sure enough, they witnessed the brothers return the man's cheques after he paid them the sum they had demanded. The two were promptly arrested and the money was returned to its owner.
