Chavez stands by description of Bush as 'devil'

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said he stands behind his description of US President George W. Bush as "the devil." But his charged comments, coming near US legislative elections, also have drawn condemnation from some Bush critics. "I wanted President Chavez to please understand that even though many people in the United States are critical of our president that we resent the fact that he would come to the United States and criticize President Bush," Democratic Sen. Charles Rangel said Thursday.
