'Comoro Islands refuse offer to open Israeli embassy in return for payment'

The president of the Comoro Islands, Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi, was quoted by Israel Radio on Wednesday as saying he turned down an Israeli offer to open an embassy in his tiny country in return for payment. In an interview to Al Arabiya television Sambi refused to say how much money he was offered and added that after refusing the offer he reported it to Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa.
