Court: Sudan minister suspect in Darfur war crimes

The International Criminal Court's Chief Prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, named a former Sudanese junior minister as a suspect in war crimes and crimes against humanity, saying Tuesday he helped recruit janjaweed militias responsible for murders, rapes and torture.
The prosecutor said Ahmed Muhammed Harun, the former junior interior minister responsible for Darfur, and a janjaweed militia leader, Ali Mohammed Ali Abd-al-Rahman, who also is known as Ali Kashib, were suspected of a total of 51 counts of war crimes.
Ocampo was holding a press conference on his findings.
