Death toll from collapsed building in Azerbaijan reaches 10

The death toll from a 16-story building collapse in the Azerbaijani capital rose to 10 on Thursday, after workers pulled two more bodies from the wreckage, authorities said Thursday. Rescue workers, meanwhile, were using heavy excavation equipment to dig out the rubble in search of more bodies. On Wednesday, rescuers found three survivors. The building was under construction when it crumbled on Tuesday while workers were on site. Officials have identified seven of the victims killed, including an elderly woman and her granddaughter who apparently had been walking by when the accident struck, the Health Ministry said. Other victims included construction workers.
