The European Union expressed concern Friday at the findings of a UN report that accused Syria of approving the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. EU spokeswoman Emma Udwin said Syria had to cooperate with continuing investigations into the killings. "Syria will harm its own interests if it does not fully cooperate with the inquiry," Udwin told reporters. She said it was too early to say if the EU would be taking action against Syria in light of the report. "The next step is for the international community to discuss the report in the Security Council," Udwin concluded.
