German authorities are conducting tests on a white powder found in a letter addressed to the US embassy in Berlin, a police spokesman said Saturday.
The letter was discovered Friday by a postal worker who saw white powder coming out of the envelope, addressed to the embassy's consular offices on Clayallee, in the southwestern section of the capital. The main US embassy is downtown.
