Republican presidential contender Rudy Giuliani portrayed Democrats on Tuesday as a party that has not learned the lessons of how to fight terrorists. "The worst thing to do is show them weakness," the former New York mayor told a crowd of several hundred supporters at an airport rally in Albany. "I'm afraid that Democrats haven't learned that." Giuliani criticized his Democratic rivals in the quest for the White House for supporting legislation that would set timetables for pulling US troops out of Iraq. "When have you ever heard, in the history of war, that an army is required to give its enemy a timetable, a schedule of exactly how it's going to retreat?" Giuliani asked. "That is irresponsible, that is dangerous, and it shows they do not understand the threat of Islamic, extremist terrorists."
