Greek military helicopter crashes, killing all 3 on board

A military helicopter crashed in northern Greece Tuesday killing all three people on board, officials said. Defense Ministry spokesman Anastassios Evangeliou said the Huey UH-1H Greek army helicopter went down in an uninhabited area near Lake Koroneia, some 20 kilometers east of the port city of Thessaloniki. The three crewmen's bodies were found at the crash site. The cause of the accident was unclear. The army said the helicopter had taken off from the Alexandria military base, some 40 kilometers west of Thessaloniki, and was en route to a special forces camp near the lake.
