IAEA chief El-Baradei urges return to negotiations

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency called Monday on Iran and six leading nations to abandon confrontation and start talks over Tehran's contentious nuclear program. Mohamed El-Baradei called for "every effort" to return to negotiations over Iran's defiance of a UN Security Council demand that Tehran suspend uranium enrichment - a possible pathway to nuclear arms. He said the "window of opportunity" was shrinking to reach a negotiated solution to the standoff.
