Libya halts oil shipments to Switzerland to protest arrest of Gadhafi's son

A Libyan shipping company says it has halted oil deliveries to Switzerland to protest the arrest there of Moammar Gadhafi's son. The head of Libya's General National Maritime Transportation Company says it stopped all the country's oil shipments to Switzerland on Wednesday. Ali Bilhajj Ahmed says the action by his state-run shipping company was an appropriate response, calling it the "least we should do." He says the shipments amount to 40 percent of the company's business, but gave no figure on the amount of oil involved. Hannibal Gadhafi and his wife were taken into police custody last week for allegedly beating two of their servants at a luxury hotel in Geneva, according to their lawyer.
