Malaysia has tightened security and increased surveillance at its shared border with Thailand following a grenade attack which injured four soldiers in the northern Kedah state, officials and news reports said Thursday.
Army deputy chief Mohamad Ismail Jamaludin said the army has been placed at the highest level of preparedness following Wednesday's pre-dawn incident where two grenades were thrown at the northern army camp.
