A 5.2 magnitude earthquake rattled Panama on Friday, but no damage or injuries were reported.
The earthquake was centered 205 kilometers south of Panama City, in the Pacific Ocean, and occurred at 1:28 p.m. local time (1828 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey reported on its Web site.
It was felt across Panama. Some frightened residents ran out into the streets, but the country was mostly calm after the tremor.
Robert Cessaro, a geophysicist at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii, said there was no threat of a tsunami.
