Morocco recalls ambassador in flap with Spain over enclaves

Morocco announced the indefinite recall of its ambassador from Spain on Friday after what it called a "regrettable" plan by the Spanish king and queen to visit two Spanish enclaves in North Africa that are claimed by Morocco. The recall for "consultation" of Ambassador Omar Azziman was reported by the official Moroccan news agency, MAP. The visit next week by King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia will be their first to Ceuta and Melilla, enclaves on Morocco's northern coast.
