Peres slams Ahmadinejad's attendance at Rome Food summit

President Shimon Peres has criticized the United Nations for inviting Iran's leader to attend an emergency food summit in Rome.
Peres says Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad provides the world with "bombs, not food." In an interview Wednesday, Peres said the UN's invitation to Ahmadinajed was a "disservice" to the food summit.
Iran's leader raised controversy in Rome by saying that the Jewish state was doomed to go.
His statements briefly hijacked media attention in Rome away from the world's growing food shortages.
